Established in 2023, Aurora Renewables GP Inc. and its limited partner Aurora Renewables LP bring together the best in design-build capabilities for renewable energy projects.
Our Founders and Heritage
Aurora Renewables is a proud collaboration between Des Nedhe Group and Extropic Energy. Des Nedhe Group, owned by the English River First Nation (ERFN), is one of Canada’s oldest First Nations economic development corporations. The ERFN is a member of the Meadow Lake Tribal Council and encompasses a wide array of reserves, including La Plonge, Elak Dase, Knee Lake, Dipper Rapids, Wapachewunak, Ile-a-la-Crosse, Primeau Lake, Cree Lake, English River, Barkwell Bay, Grasswoods, Haultain Lake, Flatstone Lake, Cable Bay, Beauval Forks, Leaf Rapids, Slush Lake, and Mawdsley Lake.
Our partnership with Extropic Energy combines over 135 years of collective expertise in energy systems engineering and asset management. This collaboration ensures that we deliver top-tier services in power grids, battery energy storage, solar energy, facility electrical design, EV charging, energy efficiency analysis, demand management, electrical load planning, energy resilience, and financial modeling.
Our Location
Aurora Renewables is headquartered in Saskatoon, SK, with additional service locations in Bonnyville, AB, and Kelowna, BC. Our strategic presence across these regions allows us to effectively serve a broad range of clients and communities.
